Charles Linden & the Linden Method:
Trustpilot Reviews in Context
What the clinical evidence says, what coordinated online attack campaigns look like, and what 650,000 real recoveries mean.
What the Clinical Evidence Says
The only objective basis for evaluating a recovery programme is independent clinical evidence — not anonymous, unverified online opinion.
The Linden Method was evaluated in a academically reviewed NHS clinical trial conducted in collaboration with NHS Shropshire and the University of Copenhagen. The trial demonstrated an 84.5% mean reduction in GAD-7 anxiety scores (p < .001) — a finding published and independently verified. Read the full trial results.
How Trustpilot Review Attacks Work
"Trustpilot is an open platform. Anyone can post a review of any business — regardless of whether they have ever used it. Unverified reviews are not screened before publication."
— Trustpilot's own published review policy
Trustpilot allows anyone — including people who have never used a product — to post a review of any business. There is no identity verification and no editorial oversight. This vulnerability has been exploited against the Linden Method by a coordinated group: the same usernames, similar language, and simultaneous review posting across multiple platforms — a recognised characteristic of organised defamation rather than genuine consumer feedback.
Important context: A small number of negative Trustpilot reviews does not constitute evidence against a programme with 650,000+ documented recoveries across 30 years. The clinical evidence and the independently verified testimonials of recovered people constitute the actual record. No anonymous review platform changes that.
Understanding Negative Reviews From Real Users
Among genuine users, a small number have not achieved full recovery. The Institute is transparent about this: the documented 93.7% full recovery rate means 6.3% do not achieve the full outcome — openly stated, not concealed. For someone who has suffered severely, that can be distressing, and those cases are taken seriously.
A genuine small percentage of non-recovery does not represent fraud — and it does not alter the independently documented outcomes for the overwhelming majority.
What Genuine Linden Method Recovery Looks Like
The Institute's recovery documentation includes named, attributed testimonials from people who have overcome GAD, panic disorder, OCD, PTSD, agoraphobia, and more — documented accounts with names, conditions, prior treatments, and outcomes. Not anonymous reviews.
Generalised Anxiety Disorder
"I had tried CBT, medication, and mindfulness for seven years. None of it worked. The Linden Method was the only thing that actually removed my anxiety permanently."
— Sarah T., Leeds
Panic Disorder & Agoraphobia
"I was housebound for two years. After twelve weeks on the programme I was living a completely normal life. That was eleven years ago and I have never relapsed."
— David M., Glasgow
OCD
"Charles Linden's programme gave me my life back when nothing else had even come close. The science behind it finally made sense of everything I had been through."
— Emma R., Bristol
